since the TV shows are getting better and better and because some great ones have ended (breaking bad, dexter …), I give something to look forward to.

this is for the first season – who won 3 emmys … can’t wait for season two

after a long break (due to both actors being in major movies) sherlock holmes is back!

trailers #1/2013

it’s been a while since the last batch of trailers, but i haven’t found anything to really catch my eye (and i’ve been really busy)

so here it goes:

1. ELYSIUM – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1535108/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

“they will hunt you to the edge of the earth for this”… sounds a bit cliché, but then again it comes from the director of district 9 (which i loved) so i will check it out.

 

2. THE ICEMAN – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1491044/?ref_=sr_1

“you think God’s gonna save you? you tell Him to come down and stop me” … true story or not, the trailer really got me interested (especially the cast – michael shannon is a really good character actor)

 

3. ONLY GOD FORGIVES – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1602613/?ref_=sr_1

“wanna fight?”  … i heard mixed things about “drive” and i haven’t seen it (yet) so i’m not sure what to say about this one, looks like it has somewhat the same tone (and same leading actor). the trailer however is good-looking.

“nobody has ever been closer to me than this young man” … this says it all (and you see michael douglas and matt damon in some very special roles); besides, i just love how soderbergh makes his movies.

… my pulse is raising, i really liked the last movie and j.j. abrams is one hell of a sci-fi creator (he produces, writes, directs etc extraordinary movies and tv shows)

… this could be worse, but i will see it nonetheless (huge x-men fan)

… what can i say, you got my full and undivided attention, big loud dumb fun, just the way i like it

 

8. 2 GUNS – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1272878/?ref_=sr_1

… this reminds me of tango and cash so it could be fun. now the bad guy is admiral adama (Edward James Olmos) and on the soundtrack i heard all along the watchtower (remake) so that’s a little unimaginative (BSG fans will know)

i didn’t understand a single thing about the plot of this movie… but seems weirdly interesting

the third Bond movie with Daniel Craig, surely a must see for me

seems a nice story… looks like a rental to me

a drama… i usually don’t like to watch them but maybe this one will be an exception

now this looks amazing and emotional

 

6. THE ORANGES – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1313139/

now this looks like fun

 

7. MAN OF STEEL  (teaser trailer) – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0770828/

last but not least, superman! reinvented. in the good tradition of christopher nolan’s batman, the superman story gets reborn, more realistic, more dramatic and less comicbookish… it might be finally a superman movie that i would like.

reminds me of 300 (less graphic, more bloody)

after watching it i have to say they got the title wrong, it should be blood and sex, but then again … who am i to judge
